The DigiCutter is another unique innovative product available within the Morgana portfolio, that is designed specifically to handle Digital and Litho printed stock.
Cutters currently available on the market vary in terms of sophistication and all can cut traditionally printed material fairly effectively.
When Digital Print needs to be cut, a whole new set of parameters enter the equation.You have to treat digital print more gently when clamping prior to the knife cutting the stock. Digital Print tends to sit on the surface of the stock which can leave the image more prone to clamping damage or the cut edge “chipping” particularly when a front edge of a booklet cover is being trimmed.

The DigiCutter is a compact 20.5 inch Cutter and is ideal for cutting Digital stock. It uses a hydraulic clamp with infinately variable pressure from 440lbs to 2420lbs, a high speed electro-mechanical knife drive, an easy to use program and a footclamp for pre clamping jobs such as booklets for front edge trimming.
